Smooth multitasking between Mac OS, Linux, and Windows XP

Very smooth switching between multiple operating systems. It's difficult to tell, but it seems the owner is streaming BBC Television in one system, a visualization in the other, and a browser in the next. Switching between the systems is done by slightly tapping the side of the MacBook, which invokes the sudden motion sensor.

Very nice. I got one as a gift for my GF replacing her Toshiba 1,5 Celer which is really awfull. I hope she will never use the BootCampus. Bitch from the RS is playing there. Is´n it?

The BBC video is actually from their HD library; it's not a stream, download only. As far as I can remember, it's also only available in 1080p format. So, this is demonstrating multitasking with HD decoding - nice :)

I Just recieved my Macbook and seeing this video is really cool to see what kind of technology I have now. I bought a 2gig intel core duo black macbook 1 gig ram 80gig hard drive. To me it seems that i discovered a new addiction to widgets...lol.. but this video is really cool. I downloaded a program that is able to skip songs on itunes by slaping it just as this video. The name of the program is called "Skip Checker".

What virtualization software is this? I've never seen that before o_o; With the cube switching and all. Is this just an interface to VMWare or Parallels?

Can someone please tell me what the name of the program that is being used here?

The "cube switching" is a combination of Parallels, Ubuntu Linux, and Beryl (for Linux). You'll need parallels to run everything simultaneously, but you'll need Ubuntu in order to install Beryl which will give you the cube switching effect.

Actually, all this guy is using is two programs. First, the program called Parallels allows you to run several operating systems ON TOP OF Mac OS X. Unfortunately this program is not open source (it cost like 80$ or so). Second, the OS switching is not done in Linux as some say, but via this program called VirtueDesktop that runs on Mac OS X. All it really does is give you virtual desktops that you can switch between. Just place one virtualized OS in one desktop and the other in another desktop and you can switch between them by short cuts. It also allows you the option to tap your computer as a trigger to switch desktops as well, but it is far too sensitive (someone walking by may trigger it). Besides, hitting your computer every once in a while is not too good for it.
