Black MacBook Review by Chris

This is the first APPLE machine I've owned and I'm really blown away so far. What finally got me to go to "the other side" was the Windows Vista laptop which crashed right in front my and salesman's eyes as the latter was showing it to me to demonstratehow fantastic Microsoft's new OS is. Ah, the irony. That being said, the Macbook is not without its faults. I've picked up a tendancy in right-wing Mac users to denounce everything Microsoft! Microsoft is the evil empire which tries to sucker consumers with their evil products.Come on guys! Remember, Apple is not some benevolent "organisation" committed solely to making great products. They're a business, too. Just look at those hilariously funny "I'm a PC/I'm a MAC" adverts for the proof. Commericial competitiveness aside, though, the black macbook is outstanding! Many people complain of smudges. There's some truth in that, but I wonder why it bothers them so much. Many commentssay it makes the Macbook looks "used". Well, why else did you buy the thing if not to USE it!?!?! The smudges aren't THAT terrible... and the black issuperior to Apple's traditional white as, judging from the unit I saw in the store, when those white Macbooks get dirty they sure GET DIRTY! The demo model was absolutely disgusting, with brown marks all over the keys. Granted, some family with 7 kids probably walked into the storeafter pizza and shared their food with the machine but still, black is better IMHO. One issue which does bother me somewhat is the sharp edges near the trackpad. It can get a tad uncomfortable, though not unbearably so.


All in all, GO FOR IT!!!!
