mm this definitely isnt the UK layout - we have the @ and the \" swapped around ..
so the \" is shift 2 and the @ is above \'

why is there a \"POUND\" sign above number 3 if it\'s not a UK layout?

It isnt the uk version, key 2 has \" above it, and key \' has @ on uk keyboards, although it may be the european version

i don\'t know whether the german version is the European version, but we have the Y and the Z swapped around and some other things...
